Start the morning off with a guided drive to Stellenbosch and visit our first farm which is a boutique wine estate with stunning views of the Stellenbosch mountains and experience intimate cheese & wine pairing with the wine maker when she is around. We head to the cuisine capital of SA, Franschhoek. We visit our second farm situated on the foot of the mountains for a world class wine tasting experience. Followed by a beautiful lunch and wine tasting at yet another award-winning estate. In Franschhoek you will have the chance to walk off your lunch, strolling down the main road. We head back over the stunning mountains to Stellenbosch for a guided drive through historic Stellenbosch and onto our last farm for a cellar tour, wine and chocolate pairing. Filled up and merry, we head back to Cape Town to be home at about 5:00pm.

We had the best tour ever! Our guide was excellent from the start. I hate that I have now forgotten his name. But we visited 4 wineries, which was more than enough. The cheese and chocolate pairings were excellent! We had a private tour so we were able to customize a few things. The guide even checked on us the following day due to some unfortunate news that we received during the tour. He gave us suggestions on what to do later. He was the absolute best and it felt like family driving us around on that day. We went on Saturday April 2. I wish South Africa was an easy trip for us from the US if so I would bring my mom on this tour, she would love it! Don't think twice just book the tour, you will not regret it. I took a private wine tour with my wife and (adult) daughter. We visited several wine estates and had lunch at one of our stops. The selection of wineries visited was made by our guide to cater to the types of wine that my wife prefers. We had a fantastic day.
